Type Of Dipoma

There are two types of diploma: a regents and a local diploma. Both diplomas attest to successful completion of high school; and are valid New York City documents. At Paul Robeson H.S. all students are expected to work towards a regents diploma. When you meet with your counselor, you will review your progress towards graduation. It is important that all students are aware of their progress towards graduation.

Exams Needed For Regents Diploma

• English Regents is taken in the eleventh grade.
• Global Studies Regents is regents taken at the end of tenth grade.
• American History Regents is taken at the end of eleventh grade.
• Math and Science Regents are taken during any year of high school

Basic Requirements

• English - 8 Terms
• Social Studios - 8 Terms
• Mathematics - 6 Terms
• Foreign Language - 2 Terms (6 terms for regents)
• Art - 1 Term
• Health Education - 1 Term
• Physical Education - 7 Terms
